STAR'S PAGE

As soon as we'd raised enough funds, we were invited to name our second guide dog puppy.  We decided on 'Star' and were delighted to receive our first picture of her - isn't she lovely?

And here is the birth certificate sent to us by Guide Dogs:

Here is Star's first Official report - aged four months:

We have now received an 8 month pupdate for our sponsored puppy, Star.  As you can see, she's doing well, but might need some work on her confidence in certain situations - we will keep you informed.

Here is Star's 10 month pup-date.

Star is one year old!  Happy Birthday, Star!

We were invited by Guide Dogs to meet Star and her puppy walker Gill.  We had a lovely time and it was good to see how she is progressing in her journey to become a guide dog.

In March 2016, Star left her puppy walker to start training as a guide dog.   Here is a picture of her just after she arrived at Guide Dog School, courtesy of Guide Dogs Redbridge Training School Facebook page.    We wish her well!

And finally . . . .

Star, now a fully grown yellow lab, is sitting with her guide dog harness on. Underneath a note from Guide Dogs reads named in memory of Mr Bob Hutchinson, with sincere thanks from the Guide dogs for the Blind Association

Here she is in training!  This photo was sent to us as a thank you from Guide Dogs.

All our proceeds go to Guide Dogs, through the Bob and Betty Hutchinson Tribute Fund.  If you would like to make a donation, please click here.

It costs Guide Dogs about £5000 to breed and raise a puppy before training.  This is the amount we have to raise before naming and following the progress of our sponsored pups.  For £2500 you can name a pup and receive regular updates, for £10,000 you can follow your pup through training.  Click here for more info.

You can also sponsor a guide dog pup for just £1 a week.  For more info click here
